Barca defender confident ahead of supercopa clash with Real Madrid
In an interview, Barca's central defender Inigo Martinez expressed complete confidence in his team's victory over Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final.

Last season, Barca also faced Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final. At the King Saud University Stadium in Saudi Arabia, the Catalan team was humiliated by their "eternal rivals". Coach Carlo Ancelotti's side won 4-1 to lift the trophy, with striker Vinicius Jr scoring a hat-trick.
Barca are determined to avenge that defeat. After a surprise slump, coach Hansi Flick's team has recently regained its spirit. They beat Barbastro 4-0 in the Copa del Rey, and most recently won 2-0 against rivals Bilbao in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final.
In an interview with Barca One, Martinez stressed that Barca had identified Real Madrid's weaknesses and were ready to exploit them. He affirmed: "We know what we have to do, where to attack Real Madrid and where we can attack them."

"We will fight them with full confidence. We are very motivated and excited. This is the first trophy of the year and we want to win it. It can push us forward in other tournaments," the central defender added.
It is also worth noting that Real Madrid are currently top of the La Liga table this season, while Barca have dropped to third place after a disappointing run in the domestic league.
