Brad Pitt and Damson Idris team up in upcoming Formula 1 drama
Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled the first teaser for its upcoming Formula 1 drama, starring Brad Pitt in the lead role. The highly anticipated film, simply titled Formula 1, is set to hit theaters on June 25, 2025.
The story follows Sonny Hayes, a seasoned race car driver who steps away from the sport after a devastating accident. Years later, he makes a comeback by joining the APXGP team, where he takes rising star Joshua Pierce (played by Damson Idris) under his wing. As they navigate the high-stakes world of Formula 1 racing, both drivers face intense challenges on and off the track.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for Top Gun: Maverick, Oblivion, and Tron: Legacy, the film promises a thrilling cinematic experience. Adding authenticity to the story, the screenplay was co-written by Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton, the first driver in history to achieve 100 Grand Prix victories.
