NeNe Leakes reveals new plans and thoughts on remarriage
NeNe Leakes, a pivotal figure from the early days of Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA), is contemplating a return to the reality series that catapulted her to fame.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Leakes discussed the possibility of rejoining the cast, leaving the door open if the financial offer is right. “If the opportunity was right and the check was on point, why not?” she mused.
Leakes, who was a mainstay on RHOA for its first seven seasons starting in 2008, stepped away before season 8 but returned for a brief stint during a group trip to Jamaica. She later made a full return for seasons 10 through 12 before departing again in 2020.
The idea of her return gained traction after actress Cynthia Erivo, a self-proclaimed RHOA enthusiast, expressed her admiration for Leakes in an interview with W Magazine. “I am a NeNe Leakes fan,” Erivo said. “I love her. Where is she? Bring her back, please.” Leakes was touched by Erivo's comments and responded warmly. “Cynthia, I love you, thank you so much!” she told TMZ. “It’s always amazing to see that so many people, including big stars, love Real Housewives and appreciate what I brought to the show.”
In addition to discussing a potential return, Leakes highlighted her new project, a podcast titled Me & My Homegirl, which she is co-hosting with Sierra Glamshop. The show promises candid conversations on a wide array of topics, including pop culture, relationships, and finances. “We’re gonna keep it 1,000% real,” Leakes said, hinting at occasional guest appearances but emphasizing the duo’s dynamic as the core focus.
Reflecting on her personal life, Leakes opened up about the possibility of remarrying following the passing of her husband, Gregg Leakes, in 2021. While she isn’t ruling out marriage, she is cautious. “I don’t mind marriage — if I find the right one, I’m all theirs,” she shared.
Real Housewives of Atlanta concluded its 15th season in September 2023 with a cast including Sherée Whitfield, Marlo Hampton, Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Drew Sidora, and Sanya Richards-Ross. The upcoming season 16 will introduce several new faces, such as Brittany Eady, Kelli Ferrell, and Angela Oakley, while also welcoming back Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks.
Fans of Leakes can tune into her podcast Me & My Homegirl when it launches on January 16, promising a new platform for the reality star’s signature no-holds-barred commentary.
