Season 3 of Yellowjackets promises more sacrifices, secrets, and chaos

With the explosive season 2 finale leaving fans with more questions than answers, season 3 promises even more shocking revelations, intense survival moments, and unexpected betrayals.

At the end of season 2, chaos erupted in both timelines. In the present day, Lottie (Simone Kessell) convinced some of her old teammates that the Wilderness still demanded sacrifices. Shauna (Melanie Lynskey) was nearly the chosen one, but her daughter, Callie (Sarah Desjardins), intervened just in time, triggering even more mayhem. In a tragic turn, Misty (Christina Ricci) accidentally killed her closest friend, Natalie (Juliette Lewis).

Meanwhile, in the past, Teen Natalie (Sophie Thatcher) found herself on the run after drawing the wrong card. Though she was the intended target, Javi (Luciano Leroux) ended up drowning instead. His death wasn’t planned, but it was accepted as a necessary sacrifice—one that led Teen Lottie (Courtney Eaton) to declare Natalie their new leader, much to the frustration of Shauna (Sophie Nélisse). As tensions grew, their situation worsened when a devastating fire destroyed their cabin, possibly set by Coach Ben (Steven Kreuger).

Now, new exclusive images from season 3 give fans a glimpse of what’s to come. The past timeline shows the teens adjusting to the warmer weather—but not without disturbing moments, including Shauna seemingly biting Mari (Alexa Barajas). Co-creator Bart Nickerson previously teased to EW, "I think people will be surprised by their resourcefulness in the face of their continued survival."

In the present day, Taissa (Tawny Cypress) is seen caring for an ailing Van (Lauren Ambrose), while Shauna appears to share a rare peaceful moment with her daughter.
